Jonathan Rigg is a geographer who has been working in rural Thailand since the early 1980s. He was Director of the Asia Research Institute at the National University of Singapore from 2016 to 2018, and in 2019 joined the School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol. His most recent book is More than rural: textures of Thailand’s agrarian transformation (Hawaii University Press, 2019).
